The Train Actuator Shield (TAS) does not need a TES nor any trains. It is simply and Arduino Uno Shield and it comes with a sample Sketch.

Note: This demo uses the basic TAS with no "snubber". This version of the TAS should never be used with electromechanical devices. Electromechanical devices have solenoids, which can produce an inductive (electromagnetic) spike when used. The "snubber" circuit dissipates the energy of this spike.
